Waterford/Oakland County, MI
Waterford Township is full of history and adventure. With 34 lakes, what started out as a weekend resort & country club community has blossomed into a thriving metropolis.
From State and County parks to Waterford Oaks Waterpark, families are able to enjoy a multitude of outdoor and water activities in the summer. In the winter, there’s still plenty to do outside: hunting, ice fishing, snow sledding, snowmobiling and skiing are among the top interests.
Of course we have the regular activities also including a movie theatre, rollerskating rink, bowling alley, laser tag, go-carts, putt-putt golf, mulitple golf courses and a beautiful library for those inclined to more intellectual activities.
Waterford has 22 public schools, 3 private schools, over 30 churches and almost any kind of cuisine you could ask for!
Employment opportunities abound with both larger franchise businesses as well as mom-n-pop businesses. We are home to Downey’s Potato Chips and DMF Bait. Transportation in Waterford is plenty with Oakland County International Airport, State Hwy M59, Dixie Hwy and close proximity of Interstate 75, taking a trip is very easy.
We’ve lived and worked in Waterford for 20+ years and have enjoyed every minute of it. The people are friendly and courteous, we have many volunteer/service organizations making improvements in our community every year and hope you would consider calling Waterford your home also!
